The filtering elements of the Automatic Disc Filters FiD are polypropylene discs with diagonal notches on both sides. These discs are compressed together using a special design. Water filtration occurs as it passes through the notches between the discs. Suspended particles remain on the outer surface of the disc complex, while purified water passes inside the complex.
Depending on the filtration rating, the filter can remove suspended particles with diameters ranging from 400-20 micrometers. The disc complex is located inside a corrosion-resistant housing.
The filter is backwashed with a reverse water flow, and the disc assembly's compressing structure is loosened to easily wash away contaminants from the surface of the disc complex.
Automatic Disc Filters FiD are effectively used for:
- In irrigation systems to prevent nozzle clogging with suspended particles.
- For coarse water filtration from surface sources.
- For preliminary water treatment before various types of water treatment systems, including ultrafiltration and microfiltration.
Prices start at 4240 euros.
The selection of this equipment depends on the type of water source and the required degree of filtration (20-400 micrometers).
