Industrial well drilling system.
Purpose: The KROT-CT high-frequency pulse hydrodynamic perforator (HFPP) is designed to intensify well drilling, regardless of depth or rock hardness. When used, drilling speed increases by up to 62%, and drill bit life increases by 37%.
The operating principle of the high-frequency pulse hydrodynamic perforator is as follows: drilling fluid supplied by the drilling pump passes through the hydrodynamic perforator, which converts the fluid flow into an axial pulsating flow, creating vibration acceleration and significant pressure fluctuations at the drill bit's support foot.
The perforator's design allows for the frequency range to be adjusted to suit drilling conditions, creating hydrodynamic high-frequency pulse perforators for any borehole diameter: 70 mm and larger.
The perforator utilizes the energy of the drilling fluid flow and, therefore, requires no additional equipment. It is installed as an over-bit.
Well drilling savings range from 25 to 45%:
The KROT-KT is a downhole, liquid, hydraulic cavitation tool for drilling wells in the earth's crust. It overcomes all the limitations of piston-driven drilling fluids and powerful percussion tools, while improving productivity, flexibility, and reliability.
High-amplitude pressure pulses are generated hydrodynamically with a very favorable coefficient of performance (COP). The mechanical energy is amplified through acoustic resonance.
KROT-CT Features and Benefits
1. A truly unique feature of the KROT-CT is its ability to generate a distinct acoustic wave field based on a combination of three different pulse patterns, which can be applied simultaneously and adjusted in the range of 500-15,000 Hz.
2. The significantly improved rate of penetration observed in various formations, including hard rock, is the result of a synergy of effects, including improved fracture propagation, reduced cutting resistance, increased cutting edge life, and reduced drillstring vibration.
3. The ability to remotely control and adapt the generated pulse sequence online to optimize drilling operations in response to changing conditions makes the KROT-CT a highly suitable foundation for a new generation of MWD steerable drilling systems.
4. The ability to generate specialized wave fields for removing scale and other dispersible or soluble material from formations, perforations, and casing without damaging the reservoir rock.
5. Significant reduction in lateral and torsional stress, as well as axial compression, due to the phononic nature of the propagated waves, offers numerous benefits, including reduced drilling equipment loss rates and reduced adverse effects on the casing, cement, and formation matrix.
6. By eliminating failure-prone mechanisms such as pistons and valves, the KROT-CT system can withstand a wide range of drilling fluid profiles, including those with high solids content, without increased wear and associated system failures.
